Jamie Frandsen, M.Ed. is the owner and instructor of Spring View Farms PreSchool

  She is a licensed educator who loves small children, loves teaching, and is looking forward to helping 
your child FALL IN LOVE with learning!  

Education: 
M.Ed Reading & Literacy Education, UofU

B.S. Elementary Education Major, Music Minor, BYU
Early & Advanced Reading Endorsements, Utah State Office of Education
Current Level II Teaching License, Utah State Office of Education

More About Spring View Farms Preschool . . .

Location & Set up:

-Spring View Farms Preschool is a neighborhood preschool with lots of space for children to enjoy music and movement, circle time, art, science, literacy, and math. The preschool is equipped with fun learning manipulatives, toys, and dramatic play materials. 

-It is located on a quiet street in a spacious, newly finished basement just off of Redwood Rd & 140th South.

-The preschool has a fully fenced backyard and playground area with swings, a slide, climbing tower, and in-ground trampoline.


Philosophy & Teaching Style:



- Instructor Jamie Frandsen believes preschool should be a joyfulpositive, exciting environment where kids feel safe and loved as they socialize, grow academically, play, learn from each other, and learn by doing.  



- Miss Jamie loves children and has a very nurturing personality.  Her teaching style is creative, upbeat, engaging, and hands on.  She loves to work music and movement into everything she teaches.  



- The daily schedule includes a mix of both directed learning and self-directed choice time where students can choose from a variety of hands on learning & sensory activities and opportunities for dramatic play. 

Curriculum:

- Lesson plans at Midas Creek Neighborhood Preschool are aligned with the Utah Early Childhood Core Standards, with an emphasis on early literacy development.

-These standards incorporate a large scope of social, emotional, and academic skills and concepts a preschooler should be learning and developing between the ages of 3-5 years.  


Registration:

- Miss Jamie teaches the whole group classes; One day a week a parent aide works one-on-one with students 
  on personal goals.  

- Miss Jamie works to ensure that each child has a quality learning experience and individual attention.  

- A $45.00 registration fee will reserve a place for your child in the program. 

- This fee will go towards supplies, field trips, & helpful learning materials for you to keep to use as resources at home.

Preschool Photo Tour


To the Book Club!!  
Super Readers enter, put on their capes, and are ready to learn about letters and their sounds!


Students search for hidden letters to solve a Super Big Problem!


Students develop concepts about print by doing shared reading in their poetry folders.


Lilly Pad Reading Corner
Students get time each day to independently read and browse books of their choice.


Rainforest Writing Center!
Students practice handwriting and draw pictures in annotated journals.


Circle Time!
During circle time, Super Readers await to hear what the Super Big Problem of the day will be from our snake puppet Bobby the Boa.  We also sing songs together, do counting & sorting activities, learn about the letter of the day, and listen to read alouds.




Music & Movement!
Students enjoy singing along to a variety of sun songs with Miss Jamie on her guitar.  Students use props or instruments as they sing along.  Some favorites include "Fire Truck!", "I'm A Gonna Drive My Car", and "5 Little Monkeys Teasing Mr. Alligator."

Students can chose from a variety of choice time centers.
